“I recently suffered through an entire episode of Naked Attraction [...] I’ve seen more hair on Greg Wallace's head than I have on that programme.”- Janey Toot 2021

RIP Everyone, Eventually is a piece of new writing from our resident scouser Laura Thomas. It is a one act, one woman show which celebrates powerhouse Northern women (shoutout to Laura’s Nan). The show centres around 70 something bingo fanatic Janey, who lives life to the max: lusting after Bradley Walsh, scouring for supermarket bargains and spreading local gossip. Apparently there’s more to life than the TV guide, and maybe she’ll find out at 7pm (after The Chase on ITV1 +1).

In a performance full of joy, nostalgia, and not giving a hoot, it’s never too late to headline Glastonbury. The stage is set for Janey’s debut - so put your slippers on, keep your knickers on and let the chaos ensue.

About the company:

‘Wingding definition, noun: a lively event or party.’

Wingding theatre is made up of three South London based theatre makers, Frankie Crombie, Laura Thomas and Zoe Beeny. Having just graduated from Goldsmiths, University of London Wingding have finally been released from hibernation to present their first show as a collective. Despite not really knowing what they’re doing in life, they want to make new theatre that is fizzy and warm.

Wingding aims to provide opportunities and space for young theatre makers to experiment and try new things, alongside their own practice. Fostering an environment where new works are given the time and space to play, they believe the most interesting and rewarding stories are born out of experimentation and giving it a good go. You can't go wrong at a wingding.
