This is a story about women who get treated like things, and things that get treated like women.
Grappling is the debut solo show from international performance artist Maddie Haynes. Her previous credits include the five star reviewed Bare Threads at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the sellout Chats I Never Had, her 2017 spoken word show in collaboration with songwriter Sarya Woo.
'Grappling takes on an all-too-common experience women face: finding themselves becoming objects, in a totally original, intelligent and compelling way. Maddie Haynes is a gifted young artist on the scene and Grappling is a timely new work; both are worth paying attention to.' (Haley McGee, creator of The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale)
